South Carolina State University (SCSU) is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to serve as the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations. The Director will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to cultivate and steward relationships with corporate and foundation partners to secure funding and support for institutional priorities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate and foundation relations strategy aligned with the university's fundraising goals and institutional priorities.
2. Identify and research corporate and foundation prospects that have potential to provide funding and support for university initiatives.
3. Cultivate and steward relationships with corporate and foundation partners through regular communication, meetings, and events.
4. Collaborate with university leadership, faculty, and staff to identify funding priorities and develop compelling proposals and grant applications.
5. Work closely with the Office of Sponsored Programs to ensure compliance with grant requirements and reporting obligations.
6. Serve as the primary point of contact for corporate and foundation partners, representing the university at meetings, conferences, and events.
7. Collaborate with the Office of Marketing and Communications to develop materials and communications targeted towards corporate and foundation audiences.
8. Maintain accurate records of interactions and communications with corporate and foundation partners using the university's CRM system.
9. Monitor and track industry trends, funding opportunities, and best practices in corporate and foundation relations.
10. Prepare regular reports and updates for university leadership on the status of corporate and foundation relations activities and fundraising efforts.
Minimum Requirements for Entry into Position:
Bachelor's degree required
Preferred Requirements for Entry into Position:
Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate and foundation relations, fundraising, or related field.
Demonstrated success in securing funding and support from corporate and foundation partners.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
