Description of Duties and Responsibilities: The candidate will teach undergraduate courses for the radiation concentrations for Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Physics at South Carolina State University on the main campus located in Orangeburg, South Carolina. These courses will be both in-person and online courses. In addition, the candidate will be expected to advise and recruit students, develop and improve programs, develop and administer online courses, conduct scholarly research, and participate in committee assignments.

This position will also support and facilitate learning and research-related computing. This is an essential position in that it supports operations of mission-critical functions for the agency.

Manage the SCSU Regional Small Business Development Center at South Carolina State University, which includes managing the budget, human and other resources; provide services to the entrepreneurial community with one-on-one consultation to start-ups and existing businesses, management training, business development in the seven county region, and implementing policies of the South Carolina Small Business Development Centers, the SBDC Cooperative Agreement with the Small Business Administration(SBA), America’s Small Business Development Center’s (ASBDC) standards and South Carolina State University (SCSU). The successful candidate will demonstrate creativity in programming composers of diverse backgrounds, excellence in choral pedagogy, and a commitment to teaching majors and non-major liberal arts students.
