Description of Duties and Responsibilities
Working in conjunction with functional business areas and information technology assists with analyzing business user needs to assess technical feasibility and solutions. Assists with translating business needs into functional business requirements/specifications and managing changes. Assists in gathering of information for business requirements/specifications to document designs, specifications, and options for technical solutions. Develops business requirement/specification documentation(designs, , processes, workflows) and communications for projects within a basic level of complexity Carries out procedures to ensure that all systems, products, and services meet agency standards and end-user requirements. Creates basic test scenarios and completes testing of software and/or hardware to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects. Recommends improvements to existing services. Prepares flowcharts, block diagrams, and other documentation to illustrate programs, processes, and procedures.

Minimum Requirements for Entry into Position
A high school diploma and experience in computer system development and modification. A bachelor's degree in a related area may substitute for the required work experience.

Preferred Requirements for Entry into Position
Basic knowledge of capabilities and intricacies of information systems using Ellucian Banner for Account Receivables. Ability to understand and carry out basic technical instructions and requests. Basic ability to analyze and reduce to logical order complex technical data. Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner. Ability to work effectively with users, vendors, and other IT personnel. Ability to assist with identifying and resolving problems. Write SQL scripts and database reports using database extract tools to better leverage the technology.

- 35% - Manage the updates Banner ERP's Account Receivable module - (Essential)
- 20% - Perform audits on data integration and data integrity on responsible modules - (Essential)
- 20% - Asist Financial Aid and Student technical users with error correction - (Essential)
- 5% - Assist with the Banner ERP’s Student module - (Essential)
- 15% - Work closely with DBA and Security Officer to ensure the University’s resources are secure - (Essential)
- 5% - Preform all other duties assigned by unit head or their designee - (Marginal)
