Works both independently and as part of a team to provide administrative, technical, and
functional end-user support for academic technologies.

Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
a. Oversee the day-to-day operation of academic technologies including the Learning Management
System (LMS).
b. Provide training for new and existing faculty on the use of academic technologies.
c. Develop training materials and resources that provide detailed instructions on the use of
academic technologies.
d. Monitor applications to ensure that automated processes are successful and correct any issues
or errors that arise.
e. Troubleshoot Learning Management System issues and provide solutions as soon as possible.
f. Communicate with Learning Management System hosting support team to plan, coordinate, and schedule system upgrades and updates to assure all systems remain current with the latest
software.
g. Respond to support requests from students and faculty regarding Learning Management
System and other academic technologies.
h. Submit requests for support to LMS and other Instructional Technology equipment hosting
services and follow through to ensure all issues are resolved.
i. Communicate with Registrar’s Office to ensure all official courses are imported into the
LMS.
j. Create and restore course shells per request from faculty and administrators.
k. Ensure that old courses and users are purged as scheduled.
l. Oversee the Blackboard Student Lab

Minimum Requirements of Entry into Position:

a. Bachelor’s degree.
b. Experience with Information Technology, Blackboard, and Canvas.
c. Experience using and/or teaching PC applications including word processing, spreadsheets,
databases, and email software.
d. Experience using and teaching Academic Technologies including Microsoft Teams,
Blackboard Collaborate Ultra.
e. Good communication skills, both written and oral.
f. Ability to work collaboratively with staff and vendors.
