The Program Director will be an enthusiastic and dedicated team player who is responsible for the on-air sound of Jazz 90.3, WSSB-FM with the General Manager, including helping to determine, implement, and supervise multiple shows and formats. The Program Director is an integral part of the WSSB Radio station management team, reporting directly to the General Manager. 

Description of Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist General Manager with carrying out the station’s vision for on-air programming 
• Selects music for each format, maintains categories and rotation 
• Ensures all produced elements are aligned with the sound of the station 
• Creates station imaging, liners, IDs, sweepers 
• Act as a liaison to music reps
• Generate music logs 
• Trains students on broadcast programming 
• Other duties as assigned by General Manager 

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma

Preferred Requirements for Entry into Position:

• College Degree
• Experience in radio programming and management service for a commercial, and/or non-commercial radio station, and/or satellite station
