South Carolina State University is seeking an energic, qualified individual to join the Office of Human Resources Department as a Human Resources Coordinator. The selected candidate will be primarily responsible for the classification and compensation duties within the HR department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for daily operations of the Payroll Function within HR to include data management functions, properly classifying and inputting data for new hirers, promotions, reclassifications, and payroll changes to Banner and SCEIS Information systems. Assist with the administration function of the PageUp Talent Management System including reviewing job postings and advertisements, and assisting with posting job announcements to the University's website. Provide written and/or verbal verification of employment on University personnel as requested by various internal and external customers.
Minimum Requirements for Entry into Position:
Bachelorﾒs Degree and experience in human resources.
Preferred Requirements for Entry into Position:
Knowledge of principles and practices of human resource management. Knowledge of the policies and procedures, federal laws, and state regulations affecting human resources. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to analyze needs and to recommend and communicate solutions effectively.
