Benefits Counselor II Administration – Orangeburg, SC
Manages the University Insurance Program (State Health Plans, Optional Life, Supplemental Long Term Disability, Dental, Money-Plus and Vision); counsels employees in person, via email and by telephone regarding insurance benefits, selections and changes. Counsels employees regarding benefit claims, procedures and enrollment as well as reviews insurance information submitted by independent vendors and assesses the usefulness to University employees, coordinates open-enrollment, benefit fairs and the Affordable Care (1095-C) printing and distribution process. Manages University's Retirement Programs; serves as a liaison with the State Retirement System (SCRS), the Police Officers Retirement System (PORS) and various Optional Retirement Plan Organizations; explains, counsels and provides assistance to employees and retirees on retirement policies and procedures including retrieving data via the SCRS employee portals and processing refund claims, death claims and annuity claims for members and beneficiaries. Coordinates, administers, and provides advice on workers' compensation, prepares OSHA reports; serves as a laison to the insurance carrier on unemployment claims, including DEW employment verifications/Questions, and reports. The applicant should possess a strong background in Fire Protection Engineering. The faculty member appointed to this position will be responsible for teaching a comprehensive range of core undergraduate courses in Fire Protection Engineering. These courses may include Life Safety Analysis (Introduction and Advanced), Fire Protection Fluid Mechanics, Smoke Management and Fire Alarm Systems, Water-Based Fire Protection System Design, Structural Fire Protection, Advanced Fire Suppression, Fire Dynamics, Fire-Informed Performance-Based Design, Fire Assessment Methods Lab and Proposal, as well as Fire Assessment Methods and Capstone. Furthermore, the applicant will contribute to the development of laboratories for this new concentration within the civil engineering curriculum. Database Administrator II Administration – Orangeburg, SC
The applicate is charged with the duty of supporting and maintaining the Banner Oracle database and performing various updates. This is a senior-level role that designs and supports database management systems (DBMS) of medium complexity and assists in designing and supporting DBMS of high complexity. Consult with users, other administrative staff and vendors on the development, modifications and updating of new and exiting Oracle tables and modification. Perform periodically tuning and performance management test on the Database. Assist in the development of all in house applications to ensure that the development process adhere to proper logic in the banner platform. Track all changes ( modification, Updates) to the University's Banner Database systems. Providing in writing a monthly report of all work related activities which falls outside of the routine work assignments.
Climate-Smart Project Director Administration – Orangeburg, SC

Part-Time Test Proctor Administration – Orangeburg, SC
The Test Proctor is responsible for proctoring online and paper-based exams in the Assessment Center. The Test Proctor will perform general office duties including the monitoring of exams, signing candidates in/out of exams, and other customer service-related tasks as needed. The position is part-time, requiring between 20-25 hours per week. While the schedule varies from week to week, the primary workdays are Monday - Friday, from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 pm. Must not have other activities that would interfere with the work schedule. This is a part-time, P-13 hourly paid position without benefits.

SC State University is seeking to hire a Fire Safety Officer III. The Fire Safety Officer will report directly to the AVP of Facilities Management and VP of Finance and Management. The Fire Safety Officer serves as the manager of required fire and safety programs. The FSO oversees the enforcement of all laws and ordinances related to fire safety, pyrotechnics, and explosives. The FSO will assist in performing life-safety repairs, monthly preventive maintenance of safety equipment, and coordinate life-safety vendors. This position requires the ability to walk, climb ladders, and stand for long periods of time in heat and wintery conditions. The FSO is also required to respond to calls 24/7.
Associate Ad for Compliance and Student Services Administration – Orangeburg, SC
Reports to the Director of Athletics. Serves as the campus compliance liaison between the University, MEAC, and NCAA. Provides ongoing rules education program for athletics staff, student-athletes, boosters, and other specific University personnel (faculty athletics representative (FAR), registrar, admissions, financial aid; institutional research, department chairs, and advisors, etc.) to include updating coaches, department staff, financial aid, registrar and other campus personnel on legislation changes.
