In collaboration with the Director and staff of OINSEP, develop and implement creative and effective marketing strategies and materials for successful internationalization efforts. Promote international awareness on Campus by planning and coordinating International Awareness Month and other activities and events. Provide support for international students and serve as the Advisor of the International Students Association. Serve as the lead staff for the International Resource Center. Assist the International Education Coordinator with duties such as study away recruitment through classroom visits, departmental meetings and student advisement. Prepares reports and keeps statistical data of all programs in addition to purchase requisitions and travel documents for OINSEP staff. Provides and maintains quality customer service. Attends conferences and professional development trainings in international education. Serves as a member of the International Advisory Committee. Prepares correspondences, financial requisitions, meeting minutes, and reports. Organizes and maintains office files in accordance with the Public Records Act. Performs other duties assigned by the Director.
Executive Director for the James E. Clyburn University Transportation Center Administration – Orangeburg, SC
o Oversees the delivery of all private, state, and federal grant requirements. o Implements organizational technology (such as web-based project management software) to facilitate collaboration among all researchers, students, and industry partners. o Manages design and implementation of data collection to meet agency requirements (including non-engineering data such as diversity measures). o Manages non-technical project schedules, and incorporates and tracks technical project schedules developed by researchers and institutional leads. Manages non-technical project budgets in cooperation with the financial manager and reports to the Director. o Seeks commitments from existing industrial partners and DOT partners for research and education financial match funding, and to host undergraduate and graduate student research interns over the summer. o Forms partnerships with other regional and national UTCs in cooperation with Technical Leads to carry on research and technology transfer projects. o Plans and executes a JECUTC annual conference. Work with the Academic Program Coordinator of the Master of Science Degree in Transportation to Teach graduate level course(s) when possible
Assistant Professor Administration – Orangeburg, SC
The Department of Engineering in the College of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Transportation at South Carolina State University, Orangeburg, South Carolina is seeking a full-time, tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the area of Transportation with special emphasis in connected and autonomous transportation systems. The position is available starting Fall 2020. Candidates with diverse research interests are encouraged to apply by demonstrating how their research supports planning, design, and operation of connected and autonomous transportation systems. The position is expected to be filled at the Assistant Professor level, however the Associate Professor level will be considered. Candidates applying at the Associate Professor level must have a well-established academic record, including scholarly publications, teaching, and externally-funded research.
Assistant/Associate Professor Administration – Orangeburg, SC
This is a tenure track faculty position at South Carolina State University (SCSU) in the Nuclear Engineering program with the College of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Transportation (CSTEMT). The individual placed in this position will be responsible for providing undergraduate instruction on nuclear energy issues such as reactor design and physics, nuclear fuel cycle, nuclear materials science and engineering, radiation science, nuclear instrumentation, and public policy regarding nuclear power. Other duties will include coordinating educational and research assignments on campus and at National laboratories and/or nuclear utilities, supervising student internships in similar locations, and supervising undergraduate research in nuclear science. Student advisement activity is a must.
Coordinator for Veteran Services & Dual Enrollment Administration – Orangeburg, SC
• Screen and certify veterans and veterans’ dependents who apply for Veterans Administration educational benefits. • Arrange for advance payment for veterans and veterans’ dependents. • Notify the State Approving Agency of changes in course offerings, curricula requirements, term beginning and ending dates, and other pertinent information. • Maintain, for students receiving VA benefits, accurate certification files which include the following: a record of the number of hours in which a student is enrolled; record of courses in which a student is enrolled; record, of course, withdrawals of complete withdrawals; record of degree requirements and objectives and any changes in those degree requirements and objectives, and record of dependency status. • Obtain information on prior credits earned and report previous credits to the appropriate VA regional office. • Ensure that the office operates within required guidelines by participating in annual compliance surveys conducted by the State Approving Agency and the VARO in Montgomery. • Provide students with information about monthly allowance, course and degree requirements, and general college policies and procedures. • Recruit, hire, and supervise veterans’ work-study students. • Provide proper documentation for student accounts and financial aid for students to receive awards. • Attend VA training sessions as required. • Inform students about financial aid and veteran programs. • Perform data entry on the mainframe computer system to make all financial awards • Supports the University’s overall enrollment goals by implementing strategies that meet the needs of high school administrators and comply with the College’s internal policies and administrative procedures to fulfill objectives, meet timelines, and complete outreach plans for targeted schools and student populations.

Post Doctoral Researcher Administration – Orangeburg, SC
A postdoctoral researcher position is available in commercial motor vehicles at South Carolina State University in South Carolina. The candidates will work with faculty mentors and researchers in the Department of Engineering and will be co-supervised by Drs. Mwakalonge and Siuhi. The appointment is for one year but may be extended for an additional year. The postdoctoral researcher will participate in an interdisciplinary, funded research project related to work zone safety for commercial motor vehicles. The postdoctoral candidate is expected to conduct research within a larger team led by Drs. Mwakalonge and Siuhi should have strong technical, communication, and project management skills. Other duties as assigned.
TITLE IX COORDINATOR/EQUAL OPPORTUNITY INVESTIGATOR Administration – Orangeburg, SC
Conduct prompt, neutral, and thorough investigations. Conduct investigations of alleged discriminatory behavior by students, faculty, and staff. Issue sanctions for violations, as appropriate. Maintain a training database and collaborate with internal and external individuals to complete Title IX investigations and adjudications.
