Electrical Engineering Technology

 

The Department of Engineering Technology at South Carolina State University, Orangeburg, South Carolina, invites applications or nominations for a full-time tenure track position at the rank of assistant/associate professor in our Electrical Engineering Technology program for Fall 2022.

The candidate will teach undergraduate courses for Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology at South Carolina State University on the main campus located in Orangeburg, South Carolina. In addition, the candidate will be expected to advise and recruit students, develop and improve program, develop and administer online courses, conduct scholarly research, and participate in committee assignments.

Bachelor's, Master's and Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering are required. The candidate must have a knowledge base within several of the following areas: Circuits, Network Analysis, Analog Electronics, Digital Electronics and Microprocessors, Control Systems and Robotics, Electrical Machines and Power Systems, Computer Programming, and Capstone Design Project. Must have a strong commitment to
undergraduate teaching and student recruitment, program improvement and development, scholarly research activity, and possess excellent communication skills, and personal concern for the student.

Must have a minimum of two years of teaching experiences in higher education. Should possess ability to develop and administer online courses.

 

The highest preference will be given to U.S. Citizens and U.S. Permanent Residents. Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications.
