In this exciting role, the successful candidate will spend approximately 75%-time conducting research in areas not limited to:
• Advanced Oxidation Processes.
• Catalytic Remediation.
• Chemical Treatments.
• Environmental Analytical Methods.
• Inorganic Pollutants.
• Organic Pollutants.
• Separation Technologies

Minimum Requirements for Entry into Position: 

In addition, the successful candidate will be required to conduct research (25% of an FTE) as a faculty member in the nuclear engineering program/Center for Nuclear Criticality and 75% of time devoted to conducting research in the CEES.
• Conduct independent and collaborative research in nuclear criticality safety.
• Develop and apply advanced computational and experimental techniques to assess and mitigate criticality risks.
• Publish research findings in reputable scientific journals and present at conferences.
• Collaborate with industry partners, government agencies, and other research institutions.
• Seek and secure research funding through grant proposals and collaborative projects.
• Commitment to teaching at least one nuclear engineering course, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative research environment.

Preferred Requirements for Entry into Position:

• Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering
• Background in nuclear criticality safety, neutron transport, and reactor physics.
• Knowledge of nuclear criticality analysis tools and software (e.g., MCNP, SCALE, Serpent).
