Under the supervision of the Senior Director of Administrative Operations, the Director of IT Services will: • Oversee all technology-related operations and maintenance of 1890 facilities/offices located on campus as well as the regional centers. Deploy, install, and set up devices for users. Respond to service requests by fixing issues remotely or onsite, replacing or upgrading equipment. Coordinate with 1890 staff to identify and mitigate root cause issues on all IT technology equipment. (Laptops/desktops, printers, iPads, 1890 Mobile Technology Unit) • Manage office systems and office equipment. Coordinate IT support needs for the organization. Diagnose, repair, and maintain hardware/software components to ensure the smooth running of computer systems. Install and configure computer hardware and be a point of contact for 1890 organization IT support. Facilitate and conduct the removal of all surplus technologies. (Computers, laptops, and other devices). • Oversee the maintenance of the inventory system; and facilitate the removal of all surplus technologies. (Computers, laptops, and other technology devices) Provide support for maintaining an ongoing inventory of condition, use, location, and storage of all 1890 technology assets as well as IT resources the organization needs to function effectively. • Create a schedule with categorizing tasks into occasional, monthly, weekly, and daily tasks. Plan a 3-5-year retention/replacement schedule for desktops/laptops. Inspect all IT equipment quarterly for all major updates which will stay in line with all IT standards. Monitor and maintain all software licenses for compliance with all SC State University policies and the State of South Carolina.

Under the supervision of the VP of Public Service & Agriculture and Executive Director of 1890 Research and Extension, the Director of Finance will: • Provide financial oversight for the organization’s financial management and daily operations. Responsibilities include short and long-range planning, establishing, and directing resources from various sources. • Works closely with the Vice President/Executive Director to develop and monitor the financial budget and organizational strategy to ensure it aligns with the organization’s POW (plan of work), goals, and objectives. • Identifies operational gaps or weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement to operational procedures as needed. Implements process improvement initiatives. Attends legislative hearings and presents information for discussion of decision-making. • Reviews budget requests from regional offices, and organizational departments to streamline budgetary processes. Confers with executive leadership and management team about budgetary goals and objectives. • Forecasts future budget needs, consolidates the organizational budget for review, and presents the annual budget to executive leadership. Identify variances between actual and budgeted financial results at the end of each reporting period. • Serve as a liaison between university and government officials. Actively participated as a member of the 1890 Executive Leadership Team and served as financial advisor to the executive director. Receive, review, and prepare related financial reports for internal and external department requirements.

Ensure liquidation requests are submitted to the Finance Director promptly. • Review financial documents such as budget amendments, payroll documents, requisitions, and invoices for accuracy of account numbers, and availability of funds, and will ensure all transactions are in compliance.
