The Head Coach is responsible for the overall development of an effective and competitive NCAA Division I Women’s soccer program that helps to enhance the student-athlete’s overall college experience. The recruitment and retention of student-athletes, who possess the academic and athletic skills to succeed at the highest level is a top priority. The Head Coach is responsible for all aspects of the program, with a focus on the overall development of the student-athletes, their social, intellectual, and physical growth. • Creates an environment of respect, inclusion, camaraderie, and an atmosphere of learning, that aids in the development of the student. • Teach the three pillars of the game: Tactical, Technical, Physical, Psychological. • Complies with the NCAA rules and regulations and those of the University. • Develops the effective playing strategies depending on the skill level, physical abilities, and tactical understanding of the game to compete at the highest level • Able to teach and demonstrate the skills of the game, communicate effectively, and set realistic goals for the team. • Provide effective leadership for the student-athletes by teaching life skills to help students to develop social responsibility, self-confidence, maturity, and productive decision-making skills to be ready for and ever-changing world beyond South Carolina State. • Help students develop their time management skills to create an effective balance between academics and athletics. • Generate community interest in the soccer program. • Articulate the philosophy and goals of the Athletic Department and the University’s mission. • Monitor academic progress of all student-athletes and recommend those in need of academic support.

Performs duties within SCSU financial, inventory, budgeting, and purchasing systems to include all related accounting functions and compliance with associated federal and state laws, e.g., general accounting, accounting or permanent improvement project accounting. Maintains accounting records claims, expense, premium income, and budget amendments as appropriate. Develop comprehensive fundraising plans for assigned prospects, outlining cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to achieve fundraising targets. Utilize a moves management approach to track donor interactions and progress through the fundraising pipeline. Prepare compelling solicitation materials, including proposals, presentations, and case statements, to effectively communicate the university's funding priorities and impact. 3. Donor Engagement and Cultivation: Engage donors in the life of the university by providing opportunities for involvement, including campus visits, meetings with faculty and students, and participation in events. Work closely with university leadership, academic deans, and program directors to identify funding priorities and develop compelling cases for support. Coordinate and facilitate donor recognition and stewardship activities, including naming opportunities, donor receptions, and recognition societies.
