Staff Research Engineer Administration – Orangeburg, SC
We are seeking a passionate and innovative hydrogen researcher to join our forward-thinking team dedicated to advancing the field of sustainable energy. Specifically, a staff researcher engineer position is available in The Center for Energy and Environmental Solutions (CEES) at South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, South Carolina. The ideal candidate should have expertise and demonstrated research in hydrogen production methods, storage, transportation, and sustainable energy applications. The candidates will work with fellow researchers and faculty mentors in the CEES and the College of Science, Engineering, Technology, Mathematics, and Transportation (CSTEM-T). The post-doctoral candidate will be co-supervised by Drs. Nasrollah Hamidi and H. Bryan Riley. The appointment is for one year but may be extended for an additional year. The postdoctoral researcher will participate in research and workforce development programs that support the Batelle Savannah River Alliance, LLC (BSRA) and the Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in energy sciences, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and an ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Additionally, they should have strong technical, communication, and project management skills. Other duties are subject to be assigned.
Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Development and Corporate Ticket Sales Administration – Orangeburg, SC
1. Athletic Development: - Develop and implement strategies for athletic fundraising and donor engagement. - Cultivate and manage relationships with alumni, donors, and corporate partners. - Plan and execute fundraising events, including but not limited to, galas, golf tournaments, and donor appreciation events. - Collaborate with the athletic department (Associate AD for External Relations) to identify funding needs and opportunities. - Collaborate with the SCSU Foundation and SCSU Institutional advancement - Maintain accurate records of donor contributions and manage a stewardship plan to recognize and engage donors. 2. Corporate Ticket Sales: - Develop and manage corporate ticket sales strategies and programs to increase revenue. - Identify and secure corporate sponsors and partners for athletic events and programs. - Coordinate with the ticketing office to ensure efficient and effective sales operations. - Create and present sales proposals to potential corporate clients. - Monitor and analyze sales data to assess performance and identify areas for improvement. 3. Collaboration and Communication: - Work closely with the athletic director and other senior staff to align development and sales goals with the overall strategic plan of the athletics department. - Represent the athletics department at community and corporate events to enhance visibility and foster relationships. - Provide regular updates and reports on fundraising progress and sales performance to the athletic director and other stakeholders. 4. Administrative Duties: - Manage a team of development and sales professionals, providing guidance and support as needed. - Prepare and manage budgets for development and sales initiatives. - Ensure compliance with university policies, NCAA regulations, and other relevant guidelines.
Law Enforcement Officer I Administration – Orangeburg, SC
The right candidate as a Law Enforcement officer has to be able to execute sound judgment in the proper application and interpretation of laws and regulations. Apply appropriate state laws and regulations which will achieve departmental goals and objectives. Conducts investigations of incidents, complaints, and disturbances occurring in their assigned areas; initiates appropriate report(s). Reports must be completed accurately and timely. Enforces parking and traffic laws and regulations and issues tickets to violators when appropriate; investigates traffic accidents and prepares reports; directs traffic. Ensure that all tickets are written completely and accurately and accident investigations and reports are complete and accurate. Protects the scene of a crime until Investigations arrive; collects and preserves the evidence in connection with a crime for court; testifies in court. Follow standard protocol; be prepared to testify in court by having all pertinent documentation; dress professionally (coat & tie or uniform). Establishes and maintains a positive liaison and working relationship with other law enforcement agencies. No more than one negative report from another law enforcement agency. Interacts with the student body and staff in a professional manner. Create an environment of respect and compliance. Develops and maintains professional working relationships with co-workers and peers. Accept constructive correction with an attitude of improvement. Performs related duties as required. Perform related duties in a timely and efficient manner.
Network and Systems Administrator I Administration – Orangeburg, SC
Identifies resources required for network designs including upgrades, expansions, and enhancements. Configures and installs network hardware and software to meet requirements and conform to technical design standards. Analyzes network efficiency by conducting network tests and running diagnostics to forecast performance thresholds. Monitors and reports on network traffic, usage, and performance. Reviews network changes and trends in order to forecast future needs. Determines and corrects moderately complex network problems. May work on design recommendations and problems. Determines feasibility, cost, equipment needs, and time constraints/allocations for assigned projects. Assists in the development of strategic direction of the infrastructure for both the current environment as well as anticipating future needs.
Systems Engineer I Administration – Orangeburg, SC
Researches, designs, develops, writes and tests new moderately complex computer technologies. Consults with project managers, analysts, programmers, administrators, and other IT professionals on issues such as system design, limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, interfaces and maintenance on a limited basis. Analyzes moderately complex technology needs and system requirements to determine feasibility of design, technical specifications, and test plans within time and cost constraints. Develops in conjunction with users new systems or modifies existing systems. Participates in preparation of needs assessments, planning documents, Requests For Proposals (RFP's), and project documentation, communication, quality and risk management, and requirements tracking on a limited basis. Modifies moderately complex existing hardware, software, or operating systems to correct errors, to adapt it to new technologies, or to improve its compatibility or performance. Develops comprehensive technical documentation and system diagrams. Administers various servers. Maintains identical environments on various servers and ensures proper operation of these systems. Works with developers to troubleshoot problems on servers in all environments and assists with integration of new code into production systems. Develops and maintains tools for automation, monitoring, and capacity planning. Manages and maintains secure infrastructure. Researches new products and technologies and recommends purchases.
