The Department Chair of Human Services at South Carolina State University is seeking to hire an Administrative Assistant. The selected candidate will perform a variety of administrative and technical support duties. Processes faculty/staff personnel transactions, compiles and submits documents for approval. Assist with planning, coordinating, and performing administrative support services for the Chair and two (2) undergraduate and two (2) graduate programs. Responsible for academic program matters, updating course selections, departmental meetings, and taking minutes. Update general office files. Greet students, parents, colleagues, and visitors to the department.

Minimum Requirements for Entry into Position: 

  • A High School Diploma

Preferred Requirements for Entry into Position: 

  • Preferred Skills in Communications, Scheduling, Correspondence, and Organizational Support.
