1. Case and Project Management: Manage all aspects of complex legal cases, including organizing case files, tracking deadlines, and coordinating large-scale investigations. 2. Coordinates and performs complex activities for the Office of General Counsel: Conducting legal research, summarizing findings and drafting various legal documents such as University policies and procedures, mediations, grievance hearings, court appearances, litigation, and other meetings. Performs scheduling, copying, scanning and other administrative duties as assigned. Manage all office functions to include budget preparation and travel, etc. 3. Assist outside attorneys, as directed by the General Counsel, assist with trial and deposition support: Assist with trial preparation by organizing exhibits and witness materials, and provide support during depositions and other proceedings. Assists outside immigration counsel with the gathering of information and coordination with the Office of Human Resources Management and Office of the Provost. 4. Client and third-party coordination: Communicate and coordinate with clients, courts, and other parties to facilitate case progress and gather information. 5. Maintains the Litigation Summary Report for all current legal claims/lawsuits. Drafts response to employee complaints, grievances, appeals, and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charges and SC Human Affairs Commission (SCHAC) for attorney review/approval. Maintains registration and proper use of the University’s logos. Maintains the contract database and performs a variety of document control duties.
