As Chief of Campus Police, you will supervise, direct, and maintain a secure and orderly environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include patrolling the campus, responding to emergencies, investigating incidents, enforcing laws and university regulations, and providing assistance to the campus community. The Chief of Campus Police establishes and maintains a positive liaison and working relationship with other law enforcement agencies. No more than one negative report from another law enforcement agency. Interacts with the student body and staff in a professional manner. Create an environment of respect and compliance. Develops and maintains professional working relationships with co-workers and peers. Accept constructive correction with an attitude of improvement. Performs related duties as required.       The Director must be able to lead a team of professionals to achieve unit and divisional goals. The Director must possess a working knowledge of student residential guidelines and procedures, and the ability to interpret laws and regulations about but not limited to residential life and the entire university community. Completes the position description/employee performance evaluation for employees supervised and handles other personnel matters appropriately and effectively. Facilitates reporting efforts with residence life coordinators, regarding repairs and damages in the residence halls. Oversees development and implementation of policies and procedures for residence life, and works with the Dean of Students to ensure the Code of Student Conduct is strictly enforced in the residence halls. Submit a yearly budget that is conducive to programs and services relating to residential life. Facilitates staff development and training for the Department of Residential Life and Housing.
