The primary purpose of the position is to provide instruction in the Rehabilitation Counseling program and other core counseling courses for Master’s degree counseling students. Primary duties and responsibilities include teaching graduate-level courses in Rehabilitation Counseling and core counseling areas, providing academic advisement, internship and practicum supervision, and service to the department, college, and university committees. The successful candidate must: (1) articulate and pursue a pertinent research agenda that produces manuscript publications in top-tier professional journals with high-impact factors in the discipline area, (2) procure external funding from outside sources that support the research agenda, and (3) facilitate presentations at well-respected international and national conferences or meetings. |
Staff Research Engineer

We are seeking a passionate and innovative hydrogen researcher to join our forward-thinking team dedicated to advancing the field of sustainable energy. Specifically, a staff researcher engineer position is available in The Center for Energy and Environmental Solutions (CEES) at South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, South Carolina. The ideal candidate should have expertise and demonstrated research in hydrogen production methods, storage, transportation, and sustainable energy applications. The candidates will work with fellow researchers and faculty mentors in the CEES and the College of Science, Engineering, Technology, Mathematics, and Transportation (CSTEM-T). The post-doctoral candidate will be co-supervised by Drs. Nasrollah Hamidi and H. Bryan Riley. The appointment is for one year but may be extended for an additional year. The postdoctoral researcher will participate in research and workforce development programs that support the Batelle Savannah River Alliance, LLC (BSRA) and the Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in energy sciences, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and an ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Additionally, they should have strong technical, communication, and project management skills. Other duties are subject to be assigned. |
Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Development and Corporate Ticket Sales

1. Athletic Development:
- Develop and implement strategies for athletic fundraising and donor engagement.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with alumni, donors, and corporate partners.
- Plan and execute fundraising events, including but not limited to, galas, golf tournaments, and donor
appreciation events.
- Collaborate with the athletic department (Associate AD for External Relations) to identify funding
needs and opportunities.
- Collaborate with the SCSU Foundation and SCSU Institutional advancement
- Maintain accurate records of donor contributions and manage a stewardship plan to recognize and
engage donors.
2. Corporate Ticket Sales:
- Develop and manage corporate ticket sales strategies and programs to increase revenue.
- Identify and secure corporate sponsors and partners for athletic events and programs.
- Coordinate with the ticketing office to ensure efficient and effective sales operations.
- Create and present sales proposals to potential corporate clients.
- Monitor and analyze sales data to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
3. Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with the athletic director and other senior staff to align development and sales goals with
the overall strategic plan of the athletics department.
- Represent the athletics department at community and corporate events to enhance visibility and foster
relationships.
- Provide regular updates and reports on fundraising progress and sales performance to the athletic
director and other stakeholders.
4. Administrative Duties:
- Manage a team of development and sales professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Prepare and manage budgets for development and sales initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with university policies, NCAA regulations, and other relevant guidelines. |
Assistant Professor of Art History - Tenure Track Position

The Visual Arts Program in the Department of Visual & Performing Arts at SC State University seeks a full-time, tenure-track, Assistant Professor to teach undergraduate courses in Art History and Art Appreciation with knowledge of Art History and Aesthetics. Duties also include committee assignments, shared gallery management, departmental duties, and university/community service. This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace.
Teaching responsibilities include but are not limited to art history: ARTH 215 Art History Survey I, ARTH 216 Art History Survey II, ARTH 420 Modern and Contemporary Art History, ARTH African American Art History, and ART 250 Art appreciation courses. The successful candidate will teach four courses each semester; actively participate within the Visual Arts Program unit and serve as academic advisor to assigned students. Other responsibilities include Departmental, School/College, and/or University committee services. A strong commitment to undergraduate teaching is essential. |
Student Services Program Coordinator

The Admissions Counselor is responsible for recruitment program coordination, including coordination and support of certain invitational programs of the Office of Admissions, as well as some others in conjunction with the Division of Enrollment Management. Coordinates communication with the high school and independent counseling communities. Also responsible for admissions recruitment, counseling, outreach, and application review.
Represent the University both on and off campus to prospective students, parents, secondary school counselors, and other individuals or organizations involved in the college selection process. Plan and implement recruitment activities for assigned high schools and territories, including travel to distant sites in South Carolina and nationally.
Counsel prospective applicants on the admissions process and opportunities at the University under all applicable policies, standards, and requirements. Provide one-on-one admissions counseling to diverse populations primarily through in-person appointments, phone calls, and emails. Review, evaluate, and score prospective student credentials on time, process applications in Banner, and counsel students and parents on admissions requirements, campus services, and programs.
Coordinate and contribute to the success of various student visit programs designed to recruit targeted prospective applicants to the University. These programs require significant collaboration with Student Success and Retention, Multicultural Affairs, Financial Aid, Office of the Registrar, Student Affairs, and Academic Affairs. |
