University Director of Bands	Administration – Orangeburg, SC
The University Director of Bands will coordinate the directing of the Marching 101, Concert Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and the Pep Band. Oversee the coordination of all aspects of the Band Program. Teach courses as fundamentals of conducting, instrumental conducting, wind band literature, and instrumental methods. Engage actively as a collaborative and committed member of the music faculty. Assist in recruiting, advising, retention, and placement of students. Perform campus-wide faculty duties, including holding office hours, attendance at department, division, and other administrative unit meetings, serve on committees, and adherence to campus policies & procedures. Participate in course and program assessment. Forge strong relationships with local and regional high school band directors. Reports directly to the Chair of the Department of Visual and Performing Arts.
Physical Education Associate Professor	Administration – Orangeburg, SC
The Department of Health Sciences at South Carolina State University is hiring a Physical Education Assistant or Associate Professor of Health and Human Performance; Health and Physical Education (HPE); Health, Physical Education, and Recreation (HPER); Kinesiology; Physical Education Professor (PE). Description of Duties and Responsibilities: The selected candidate will teach courses, mentor/advise undergraduate students and engage in and develop quality community-centered research. It is the responsibility of the professor to prepare a syllabus that aligns with a chosen textbook, advise students as needed for their required curriculum and serve on departmental/university research committees. Minimum Requirements for Entry into Position: The Health Sciences department welcome candidates with an earned doctorate in physical education, adapted physical education or related fields (human performance, health and physical education, recreation, kinesiology). Preferred Requirements for Entry into Position: For most teaching disciplines, applicants must hold a Master's degree or higher in the discipline advertised, or a Master's degree or higher in any discipline plus 18 graduate semester hours or 30 graduate semester hours
4-H Youth Development Extension Agent	Administration – Orangeburg, SC
Under the supervision of the Upstate Regional Director, the 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent will: • Oversees the program area and provides leadership to the regional 4-H and Youth Development Program. Organizes and conducts 4-H and Youth Development projects in the 4-H and Youth Development program areas which are Civic Engagement, Healthy Lifestyles, Financial Management, STREAM, and Volunteerism. • Provides leadership for 4-H and Youth Development project activities to meet the needs of youth in accordance with the Extension Model/Civil Rights/Affirmative Action Guidelines. • Uses the 1890 Extension Service Delivery Model (ESDM) recommendations along with appropriate technologies to plan and deliver 4-H Youth Development programs through workshops, seminars, conferences, one-on-one visits, field trips, and tours. • Networks and builds coalitions with other federal, state, and local agencies, organizations, and institutions to address the complex youth and family issues and needs of the 4-H and Youth Development Program.

• teaching a 4/4 load of freshman writing courses and sophomore to senior literature courses • advising and mentoring students in the English program • maintaining a scholarly research agenda that includes conference presentations and publications • serving on department, college, and/or university committees, • participating in mandatory department, college, and university events

• Develop and implement strategic plans to meet enrollment targets. • Oversee the admissions process, including reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and making admissions decisions. • Collaborate with marketing team to promote the institution and attract prospective students. • Provide leadership and training to admissions staff. • Dual enrollment recruitment/coordination with school districts • Develop an international recruitment plan • Monitor and report on admissions metrics and trends. • Establish and maintain relationships with high schools, colleges, and other relevant organizations to recruit potential students. • Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, policies, and regulations related to admissions. • Participate in outreach events and represent the institution at admissions events. • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth transition for new students.
