4-H Youth Development Extension Agent

| Under the supervision of the Upstate Regional Director, the 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent will:
• Oversees the program area and provides leadership to the regional 4-H and Youth Development Program. Organizes and conducts 4-H and Youth Development projects in the 4-H and Youth Development program areas which are Civic Engagement, Healthy Lifestyles, Financial Management, STREAM, and Volunteerism.
• Provides leadership for 4-H and Youth Development project activities to meet the needs of youth in accordance with the Extension Model/Civil Rights/Affirmative Action Guidelines.
• Uses the 1890 Extension Service Delivery Model (ESDM) recommendations along with appropriate technologies to plan and deliver 4-H Youth Development programs through workshops, seminars, conferences, one-on-one visits, field trips, and tours.
• Networks and builds coalitions with other federal, state, and local agencies, organizations, and institutions to address the complex youth and family issues and needs of the 4-H and Youth Development Program. |

Program Coordinator I - EIS

| Under the supervision of the Education Innovation and Support State Program Leader, the EIS Program Coordinator will:
• In collaboration with the state program leader for education, innovation, and support, provide leadership, direction, and execution for statewide EIS initiatives. Organizes and conducts college readiness activities while working with regional directors. Plans, develops and implements College 101 workshops. Manage the formation of the HYPE program and provide ongoing assistance and guidance to HYPE instructors.
• Provide leadership and assistance in the management of the Agriculture Innovation Scholarship program. Serve as a coach to current Ag scholars to ensure their success at SC State University. Plan and execute college success workshops and initiatives.
• Networks and builds coalitions with other federal, state, and local agencies, organizations, and institutions to address the complex youth and family issues and needs of EIS program. Identify, recruit, train support, and manage volunteers if necessary to implement and carry out EIS programming statewide.
• The program coordinator is expected to complete an annual plan of work with teaching objectives and will be responsible for reporting programmatic results to regional and state partners as required by local or regional supervisor(s), state office personnel, or state nutrition administrators. This employee must maintain an extensive record-keeping system that evaluates knowledge, skills, and behavior change for accountability purposes.
• As an extension employee, the program coordinator collects, analyzes, and prepares an EIS Plan of Work report for the year by the requested deadline date. The employee will submit the Plan of Work Report and all other reports on or before the due date with 100% accuracy. |

Ag Extension Agent

| • Facilitate, coordinate, and participate in the recruitment and enrollment of producers/ farmers into the Advancing Markets for Producers project.
• Conduct interest meetings and information sessions to recruit and enroll farmer/producers.
• Ensure effective communication and implementation of AMP project.
• Assist project management and leadership teams in implementing project goals and objectives especially field activities/operations.
• Assist in identifying and addressing participating farmers’ needs/interests while developing and implement strategies to address those expectations of the project.
• Coordinate and schedule field visits for postdocs, research technicians, and graduate students) and perform periodic farm visits for data collection and verification of conservation practices.
• Maintain contact with participating project farmers through farm visits and assist with program delivery and implementation.
• Attend trainings and disseminate information to project leadership and the broader climate-start community of stakeholders.
• Maintain complete and accurate individualized producer/farmer folder of records and reports.
• Visit enrolled farmers on an established project scheduled for data collection and verification.
• Assist in development of training modules for on-farm climate-smart agriculture practices.
• Provide educational information training to enrolled climate-Smart producer/farmers.
• Assist in preparing and conducting workshops/training on climate-smart commodities production techniques and marketing strategies.
• Plan, prepare and submit weekly schedules to program coordinator.
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports.
• Attend weekly staff meetings and monthly management meetings, and other climate-smart activities, meetings, and events.
• Perform other duties as requested by supervisor. |

Agricultural Assistant II/Assistant Farm Manager

| The individual will participate in maintenance activities at the Olar Demonstration Farm and assist with the operation and maintenance of facilities, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and major projects as required. The individual will assist the farm manager in implementing experimental plot designs, allocation, and preparation. |
