The University Director of Bands will coordinate the directing of the Marching 101, Concert Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and the Pep Band. Oversee the coordination of all aspects of the Band Program. Teach courses as fundamentals of conducting, instrumental conducting, wind band literature, and instrumental methods. Engage actively as a collaborative and committed member of the music faculty. Assist in recruiting, advising, retention, and placement of students. Perform campus-wide faculty duties, including holding office hours, attendance at department, division, and other administrative unit meetings, serve on committees, and adherence to campus policies & procedures. Participate in course and program assessment. Forge strong relationships with local and regional high school band directors. Description of Duties and Responsibilities:  The selected candidate will teach courses, mentor/advise undergraduate students and engage in and develop quality community-centered research.  It is the responsibility of the professor to prepare a syllabus that aligns with a chosen textbook, advise students as needed for their required curriculum and serve on departmental/university research committees.  Minimum Requirements for Entry into Position: The Health Sciences department welcome candidates with an earned doctorate in physical education, adapted physical education or related fields (human performance, health and physical education, recreation, kinesiology). Preferred Requirements for Entry into Position: For most teaching disciplines, applicants must hold a Master's degree or higher in the discipline advertised, or a Master's degree or higher in any discipline plus 18 graduate semester hours or 30 graduate semester hours
4-H Youth Development Extension Agent Administration – Orangeburg, SC
Under the supervision of the Upstate Regional Director, the 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent will: • Oversees the program area and provides leadership to the regional 4-H and Youth Development Program. Organizes and conducts 4-H and Youth Development projects in the 4-H and Youth Development program areas which are Civic Engagement, Healthy Lifestyles, Financial Management, STREAM, and Volunteerism. • Provides leadership for 4-H and Youth Development project activities to meet the needs of youth in accordance with the Extension Model/Civil Rights/Affirmative Action Guidelines. • Uses the 1890 Extension Service Delivery Model (ESDM) recommendations along with appropriate technologies to plan and deliver 4-H Youth Development programs through workshops, seminars, conferences, one-on-one visits, field trips, and tours. • Networks and builds coalitions with other federal, state, and local agencies, organizations, and institutions to address the complex youth and family issues and needs of the 4-H and Youth Development Program.
